“Not One for Quitting” came from a moment when stopping would’ve been easier, but I didn’t. This painting is about showing up when you’re tired, uncertain, or quietly overwhelmed - and doing it anyway. There’s no clean plan in it, no perfect direction, just layers built on top of each other, decisions made in the moment, and the choice to keep going. I painted this as a reminder to myself that resilience isn’t loud or heroic most of the time. Sometimes it’s just continuing, brushstroke by brushstroke, even when you’re not sure where it’s all leading.
